Our Story

The farm was created in 2008 by Rebecca and Todd Ulizio through a shared passion to farm, be good land stewards, and provide their community with healthy and fresh produce.  The farm is part of a 700-acre ranch owned by the Vredenberg family and leased by Doc Hammill and Cathy Greatorex, who teach drafthorse farming workshops around the country as well as on the ranch .

ebecca was born in Georgia and has a degree in Agroecology from Evergreen State College. She has always dreamed of farming for a living, yet never really expected it to happen, so Ten Lakes Farm is a dream come true.  She can often be found in the field outworking anyone else with a big smile on her face.

T

odd (a.K.a infrastructure man) grew up on a small vegetable farm in Connecticut, but went to school for Wildlife Biology in Missoula, Montana.  He fell in love with the landscape, and spent 8 years studying lynx and wolverine.  However, he tired of bureaucracy, desired to be his own boss, and to work outside every day.  He can often be found trying to figure out more efficient ways to farm.
